I like Mediterranean way of life: culture, climate, people, and food...<BR/>Even if since 2002 I live outside Spain, I like to go back to Barcelona at least once a month. I keep my flat here, because i need to breathe Mediterranean air from time to time :)Greghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14230600610008726694noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-348349511229547505.post-13432323498320430512008-02-29T08:47:00.000-05:002008-02-29T08:47:00.000-05:002008-02-29T08:47:00.000-05:00Barcelona is a city that is very European and yet ...Barcelona is a city that is very European and yet very independent. There is plenty to see and do. Great masters of architecture have left their mark here and many artists have given rise to many unique and memorable works. The landscape is one of rolling hills and sandy beaches, to cobblestone medieval quarters to busy plazas. It is Spain's second city and is the autonomous region of Catalunya. It has its own language and customs and even collects a portion of national taxes. The city has a picturesque medieval quarter and some impressive central promenades throughout the city. The churches and monasteries are works of art as are some of the more prevalent modernist works, like those of Gaudy, which are dotted around the city. Whatever you are looking for Barcelona has it all. Outstanding parks and incredible museums make this city a must on any agenda to Spain or while in Europe.Milenahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16025973984980427625noreply@blogger.com
