How To Lose Lower Belly Fat

The fat in your belly is the hardest to get rid off, especially that lower part which is commonly known as the pouch or the muffin top. It is also the type of fat that puts you at high risk for different diseases. To eliminate that pesky problem, here are some things you can do aside from liposuction.

Dietary Changes

  • Decrease Caloric Intake- A good body is made in the kitchen. From a 3000 plus caloric diet, you can try lowering it to the recommended amount. This will depend on the lifestyle you have, height, and overall activity so talk to the dietitian or nutritionist prior.
  • Eat High Protein And Low Sugar- Empty carbohydrates, fats, and sugar goes straight to your midsection, especially when not burned with exercise. Protein, fruits, and veggies give you the needed energy without being stored in the lower belly.
  • Drink Lots Of Water- Often, you think you are hungry but really you are just dehydrated. Drinking a lot of water will help you reduce your caloric intake by making you feel fuller.
  • Avoid Starchy and Processed Food- Canned goods contain high amount of salt. The more you consume it, the more you crave for it, making you eat bad food repeatedly.

When trying to lose belly fat, there are several exercises which are targeted toward your midsection. There are leg raises, sit-ups, planking, etc. However, you must first lose your overall fat before trimming your midsection. That means going for whole body exercises and weight training.

Keep A Good Mindset

Stress leads to unhealthy eating and bad habits. Because that affects your body, it is important to stay away from it or leading a positive lifestyle. If you cannot avoid stress, deal with it properly by doing deep breathing exercises and having a good outlook in life.

A flatter, toned stomach is always more attractive to other people. However, you are not doing this for vanity reasons alone. A fitter body keeps you away from diseases and allows you to do a lot of things so follow the advice to be healthy.
