Seeing a falling star is an extraordinary experience. The sight itself is picture-perfect, but the wish you can make if you see one closes the deal. I only saw one falling star in my entire life. Unfortunately, I wasn’t in the mood for the sensible and the practical. I wasted that one wish for an impossible desire.
You see, I was in a regretful disposition that time. The whispered wish came without second thoughts, and went with another sorry scenario afterwards. My wish had been vivid and clear— to be able to turn back time. Too unrealistic, you might say. But one way or another, at some point in your life, you might have had the same yearning I’m sure. We all make mistakes. The only difference is that some of us are willing to take leaps of faith and go to great lengths just to set everything right. I’ll just wait for my next falling star to cast another wish, though I may end up wanting the same thing again. I hope not!
