Choices. It is better for all of us to have choices because that way we will benefit more from any given service. That is the gist of the Walgreens and Express Script issue that I read about. Walgreens is no longer a part of Express Script network of pharmacy providers. A negotiation took place but an agreement was not reached. Now, the clients who use the Express Script network who are used to getting their prescriptions filled at Walgreens will have to find a new provider near them. That is unless they join the Walgreens Prescription Savings Club.
For a mere $10 a year, families can pay for membership that will include everyone in the immediate family plus spouse and dependents who are 22 and younger as well as pets. Individuals, on the other hand, can join for $5 a year. What will members get from the Walgreens Prescription Savings Club? Discount on their prescription prices. Not only savings on more than 8,000 brand-name and generic-name medicines but also convenience as most Walgreens branches are open 24 hours and are most likely near your place of residence.
Support Walgreens by following them either on: Walgreens on Facebook or Walgreens on Twitter. Or you can follow them on both platforms.
