dual diagnosis

Charles is an alcoholic. He got jailed for DUI twice and his family is really worried about him. They wanted him to enter dual diagnosis because a friend of Charles’ brother was treated at that center. Charles is willing to undergo rehabilitation because he’s afraid that he can no longer visit his daughter if he will continue his drinking ways. His family, specially his mom, is very happy that he did not resist the idea of going to rehab center.

Products for wellness

August 26, 2010

My friend loves trying out products that she knows will be good for her body. She told me about the benefits of Oregano Oil. Did you know that oregano, when used with food, reduces the risk of food poisoning? Yes, I didn't know that, too! My friend told me that it is the reason why she wants to try Oregasil which acts as nature's purifier. It has a rich content of vitamins and minerals and promotes digestive health. Who doesn't want a fully-functioning digestive system, right?

There's also the Bio D-Mulsion which is Vitamin D-3 or which they call as the sunshine in a bottle! This is the wellness product for those who avoid the sun. My friend avoids direct sunlight because of a skin problem so this sunshine in a bottle is the remedy she's been looking for.

These two wellness products can be found at OasisAdvancedWellness.com. Find out more about the benefits of Oregasil and Bio D-Mulsion now.

A sense of security in the fall

A sense of security in the fall.

Guest post of the week by Deangelo Spencer

There are many wonderful things that I enjoy doing during the fall. The fact that the wind and temperatures in Alaska haven't yet hit extremely cold degrees makes walking around a wonderful thing. I love the colors of the trees and the way the wind blows the leaves everywhere. This is not, however, the thing that I enjoy doing the most. My daughter cheerleads in school for the high school a few miles away. She has been part of cheerleading ever since she was in junior high, and now she is one of the best. My son also participates in wrestling, though I hardly ever get to see the two of them in action at the same time.

my son is usually indoors and my daughter outdoors, so I am constantly running back and forth during the week to attend their meets and games. This means that nobody is really home for large parts of the day. I know that I can simply set my adt program and run out the door to take care of important things. Being there for my children during the most important years of their lives is something that is incredibly important to me, and I wouldn't give it up for anything. The fact that they can see me there almost every time gives them a sense of trust that I wish other people could feel.

coogi

August 13, 2010

A friend of mine sells apparel in facebook which look like coogi. She posted different designs everyday. I like their designs because it so stylist. The manufacturers of the clothes must have carefully crafted their designs to suit the needs of their target market. Good thing there is internet where we could see whatever new designs they created and we could order online.

A Profound Difference in Television

A Profound Difference in Television

Contributed by Cameron Hodge

I was staring at a picture in High Definition television today when I realized the profound difference in clarity, color, sound and shape from my earlier years. Maybe I am giving away my age but I have watched the advances in technology from a television big enough to encompass a room with a dial and three stations to today's remote controlled wall-mount, thin as a wafer high definition era with so many channel choices it boggles the mind. Add in watching television with digital colorization of classic movies and programs on satellite tv with best deals cable tv and we now have a completely different idea of what entertainment is.

Take for instance my favorite programs of the sixties and seventies. The Beverly Hillbillies, Bewitched, The Lucille Ball Show and MASH are all well known shows who still run today. Watching these shows in high definitions is like giving a new dimension to an object. The visual quality of the characters is cleaner and crisper. Background objects that were once blurred and out of the way become a part of the picture, albeit background scenery, but visible just the same.

High Definition television truly is one of the greatest new inventions of our time for at home entertainment.

Shopping for the Perfect Printer

Shopping for the Perfect Printer

Guest post written by Christine Duncan

My son is going to college this fall and I have been extremely busy shopping for him. I was thinking about all of the different items I need to buy him. His bedding has already been bought and he has most everything else. The one item that remains is a printer.

He used to have a really nice Canon printer. However, it decided to stop working all of a sudden. The head was not moving correctly and it was becoming rather aggravating to have to keep resetting. Finally, it would not turn on any longer. I looked on Amazon at different options for new printers and found a Canon that was an all in one printer and quite affordable. However, who wants to pay the high cost of shipping. Staples would price match Amazon's price and I could purchase it in store.

I set my home security alarm from www.inhomesecurity.net and drove to the local Staples. The staff helped me find the printer that I had wanted and checked me out. The store actually had the printer on sale for less than the price on Amazon. I really made out well on the deal for my son! New printer and extreme savings are always an awesome way to spend your day.

hidden cameras

August 6, 2010

I went to my old school yesterday. I have studied there from elementary to high school. Many things have changed inside the campus. They have constructed a swimming pool inside the campus and it’s within or inside a building. Our old canteen was gone already and in the area is a gymnasium. They have a school bus now and the campus has some hidden cameras too.

Kohler kitchen sinks

I have a problem with my kitchen sink. I don’t know what happened to my sink but it’s got leakage under the sink. I have wanted to buy a new kitchen sink but I do not know what brand to buy. I want something that will last many years. My old one is just 3 years old. My sister told I better buy Kohler kitchen sinks because their product has been tested to provide lasting performance and durability.

FOR THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE

FOR THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE

Contributed by Milford Woods

I think deep down in all of us lies the desire to have control. If we're honest with ourselves, we want power. We're born that way. We learn from early on that our voices count. From the moment we're born, before we can speak a word, our voice matters. We cry. We get fed. We cry. We get our diapers changed. We cry. We get picked up. You get the idea.

This desire for power, for control, is one of the reasons that I absolutely love The People's Choice Awards. The main reason this award show stands out is because it's not a bunch of stuffy old guys in California who have decided who gets the prize. Instead it's people like me that get to choose.

This year's list of presenters were also people that I felt were a reflection of real life people. I can relate to Ellen DeGeneres. She makes me smile. She's goofy. She's a little crazy. She makes me laugh. The same can be said for Chevy Chase. These are people I can relate to.

The People's Choice Awards are not a night of over the top fashions. They are down to earth. I can climb in bed in my old flannel jammies and watch real people on my tv service from www.direc4u.com and feel like I'm part of the crowd.

I smile when they look in the camera and give thanks because I know they are talking to me.

My movie theater

August 4, 2010

Guest post written by Tim Sides

Working in a movie theater was something that I dreamed about as a kid. Once I got a little older I ruled out the career and went for accounting instead. After I worked for an accounting year for a number of years, a fantastic opportunity was presented to me and I bought a movie theater.

Now that I’m retired, I spend a lot of my time there to interact with the customers and re-watch movies over and over again. One night when I snuck into the back of the movie about 20 minutes into it, I noticed that I was having trouble hearing the sound. I went to the person in the projection booth and told them to adjust the sound. They said it was at normal levels and no one had complained about it besides me. One of the employees suggested I get a free hearing test so I scheduled one and ended up getting digital hearing aids.

Since then I’ve enjoyed sneaking into the back of movies even more and enjoying all the small sounds on movie soundtracks that a lot of times so unnoticed.

Hassle-free ticket purchasing

Who wants hassles? I don't. I am sure you don't want one, too. If you are looking for tickets to shows and concerts at the Amway Arena, no need to go to the hassle of going to ticket booths and lining up for one. All you need to do is go to TicketAmerica.com and you can order the tickets to the concert you want to watch!

The same goes for tickets to the Philips Arena and the Verizon Center. There are sports events that so many people flock to. You need not arm wrestle anyone for a ticket to a much anticipated sports event at the Verizon Center.

So remember Ticket America. For tickets to the Nickelback or Lady Gaga shows at the New Orleans Arena, go to TicketAmerica.com now and get those tickets ordered! Hassle-free and very convenient ticket purchase for you and me. Check out the site now for more show venues and tickets available.
