How Does Rise Of The Machines Stack Up To The Other Terminator Movies?

Big shout out to Ryan Morrison for the guest posting

The original Terminator was amazing. It was so unique that people flocked to see it, regardless of their age, gender, or social standing in the world. It became such a big hit that they decided to make Terminator 2: Judgement Day. In this film, Arnold was the good guy, protecting Jonathan Connor from a new liquid metal form of Terminator. T2 was great, but the ending was very similar to the ending in part one, which was somewhat disappointing. When I spotted Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines on my directtv pay per view in Philadelphia I didn’t only have an interest in watching it, but I absolutely needed to see if the ending would once again take place in a factory.

Well, I’m not going to tell you the ending, but I will tell you that it’s nothing like the ending in the first two movies. Not only that, but it’s an ending you will never predict. The beginning and middle of the movie were also great. What made it different was that the Terminator was a female. And boy was she nasty. I don’t think her facial expression changed once throughout the entire movie. Come to think of it, I’m not sure the Terminator’s facial expression ever changes – regardless of the model. I still think T2 is the best Terminator movie, mostly because it has the creepiest Terminator, but Rise Of The Machines was still highly entertaining and well worth seeing.
