Arroyo's Administration

Arroyo Administration is Likened to that of Marcos’

During the mass on February 25, 2008, Bishop Bacani compared the Arroyo Administration to that of the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos, who was forced to flee the country on February 25, 1986, after millions of Filipinos gathered at EDSA to denounce his oppressive regime and replace him with Corazon Aquino. He said that like Marcos, her administration tried to hide the truth. Accordingly, the President and those in power should keep in mind that the truth would eventually come out. “There is nothing hidden that is not revealed”, he said.

Parang ang hirap magkaroon ng matinong presidente, noh?

Out of topic, Bishop Ted Bacani was my retreat master in my senior year in high school. Galing ng sermon. Kaya siguro naging Bishop.

Anyway, salamat sa laging pag daan mo sa blog ko...

Ingat and enjoy your weekend.

I think she thinks that she should remain in that position coz she takes it as her legacy.

Gloria is not even a leader. She's a brat! And a stubborn one for that matter. Unfortunately, she's turning the Philippines like her filthy backyard. And looks like her move to splice and dice the disputed Spratly Islands in favor of China is yet another foolish move. She's dragging this nation to the recesses of hell!

I am not pro-arroyo but I hate church getting into politics. The Catholic church in the country is very hypocrite. It is easy to praise but also difficult to do. Why don't they pay taxes so at least the governmenr be better off?

Indeed Arroyo's admin is scandalous and full of controversies but it is not in the hands of the priests and bishops to talk about politics.

If Filipinos want change, they have to change the SPIRITUAL culture first! We clamour for change but we always side with the church.. How can we change then?

I believe priests, pastors, ministers should not "dally" in politics. what they should do is pray for the country and its people and its leaders. Nothing is more powerful than tha prayer of a righteous person.

My two cents' worth. =)

Sa totoo lang, ang hirap ng mamili kung sino ba talaga ang matino sa kanilang lahat. Sana naman yung papalit kay Arroyo walang pamilyang gahaman sa pera ng taong bayan.

Great post, SexyMom!

Arroyo is just like any of them. Corrupt and power grabber. But I believe that there will be better changes in God's proper time. What we can do is to take part in bringing forth this change by choosing to do what is right, even in our own little way.

it seems hard to trust our leaders nowadays... are we fickle-minded (balimbing) when we ousted Erap, and then trying to oust GMA? Dirty Politics is a tradition (hence tra-po). The Church must have a safe stand with regards to the matter, that would not cause turmoil, but to have a truthful investigation on the President.
